Blogging tips posted to Twitter by yours truly:
1) Barometer of a blog's success (or lack thereof), is the number of visitors, the no. of visits per visitor (stickiness) and interactions.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
2) The no. of followers on Twitter, FB or WP is not as important because they may be following too many. I know I do. Can I read all? No.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
3) The type of interactions are important too. Simple thank you tweets don't count.No. of Retweets/Favorites are important indicators.

4) Inane one-line comments that go nowhere on WP are no use. Tell me what you specifically like or disliked in my post.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
5) You can disable comments on your blog if you want to. People are interested in you if you show an interest in them. Comment on theirs.

6)Displaying a stats counter is up to you. Don't let the stats solely drive your output. Quality beats quantity. It's about reads per post.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
7) It's best to be regular in your posting habits even if it's just one a week.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
8) Find a niche and blog on that. Find specialised sites, groups that will allow guest posts and drive traffic to your blog.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
9) Retain exclusivity by posting to other sites with a lag. Why allow them to cannibalise your reads?
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
10) While 'thank yous' don't count much towards meaningful interactions, it is a useful practice. Politeness oils your future interactions.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
11) Occasionally re-blog interesting posts. Posts you believe should be on your site, posts your readers would be interested in.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
12) Try and use pictures for every post if possible. But if you can't find any apt ones its fine too.
— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
13) If you're not already using your blog to collect interesting posts, curate. Scoop.it manually, automate with paper.li.

— Linus Fernandes (@linusjf) October 16, 2014
