500 years from now, an archaeologist accidentally stumbles on the ruins of your home, long buried underground. What will she learn about early-21st-century humans by going through (what remains of) your stuff?
I doubt it.
500 years from now, the edifice in which I live will probably have been razed and rebuilt several times over.
The smart act would be to collect artefacts that you believe to be of interest to future generations and bury them in a time capsule.
Or if it is valuable, donate it to a museum.
