He’s often called the ‘father of marketing’ — something he regards as a compliment, while at the same time ceding the title of the ‘grandfather of marketing’ to management thinker Peter Drucker. Meet Philip Kotler, the SC Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago, and, in the words of Management Centre Europe, “the world’s foremost expert on the strategic practice of marketing”.
