Scrum – The Agile Method « Manoj Gupta’s BLOG

In Scrum work is delivered in “sprints”. Each sprint delivers a single, usable piece of work called the “product increment”. This product increment is immediately available for evaluation and use by the customer at the end of a sprint. Scrum requires that all feature requests be held by a single “product owner”. This person is responsible for maintaining the list of features requiring work. This list is called the “product backlog”Scrum Roles – Pigs and Chickens:A pig and a chicken are walking down a road. The chicken looks at the pig and says, “Hey, why don’t we open a restaurant?” The pig looks back at the chicken and says, “Good idea, what do you want to call it?” The chicken thinks about it and says, “Why don’t we call it ‘Ham and Eggs’?” “I don’t think so,” says the pig, “I’d be committed but you’d only be involved.“
