Have checked out a great tool to create simple games without programming. It’s called The Games Factory available at ClickTeam.

It’s pretty cool, everything is drag and drop and you can assign properties to objects, create frames, sequence them, create conditions for events and basically create great looking games the easy way. You can try the 30 day  demo version for free.

I’ve never been a games afficionado but this seems a good place to begin exploring creating games.
